Strayer, Chapter 17

This Chapter discuses the revolutions of Industrialization between the years 1750 and 1914. The first sentence of the chapter says "Industrialization is, I am afraid, going to be a curse for mankind...The machine produces much too fast." I have been thinking about this sentence throughout my reading of the entire chapter. I disagree with this statement very much. I think that industrialization is the best thing that has happened to us. Take the Industrial Revolution for example, itwas the greatest blessing that's been bestowed upon civilization. Countries involved granted us with far more opportunities in the job sector and also produced unlimited innovations. With industrialization we are able to make more advancements in medicine which will benefit us in the long run. The industrial Revolution also led to advancements in transportation, which served as a main contributer to the spread of goods and people. When done successfully, industrialization makes countries wealthier and more powerful as well.
